Body Barre Fitness & Training Studio is a women's only gym in Vaughan, Ont. Body Barre offers an innovative and balanced approach to group fitness classes for women in a private studio setting. Barre is the latest fitness craze hitting the globe. It's a dance inspired fitness class that blends pilates, strength training, yoga and sports conditioning. These challenging one-hour classes effectively strengthen, tone and lengthen the entire body.

With over 20 years of experience in the fitness and nutrition world, working as a holistic nutritionist and personal trainer, Tina's knowledge of health and fitness is integrated. Determined to overcome obesity, being 200 lbs at 16 years old, Tina learned the importance of living a healthy and active life through various forms of fitness that she still utilizes today. These forms include running, strength training, yoga, pilates, Barre and Martial Arts. She's a Black Belt! Tina has also studied Holistic Nutrition at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition and opened up Toronto's first Organic Vegetarian Raw Food Restaurant. Tina is an  innovative and dynamic fitness trainer who is determined to help motivate women to be their healthiest, strongest and most balanced selves no matter what stage in life. 
Sofia
BARRE CONCEPT
.Sophia has always moved to thereat of her own drum. She began dancing at the of 10 but come her senior year in ballroom dancing, her studio closed down. Saddened by this turn of events, Sophia's mom encouraged her to accompany her to a few fitness classes at her local gym...The rest is history! With her new found love of fitness. Sophia used her danced background to her advantage within the industry and became certified  as a FIS with CanFit pro to teach Aerobics, Dance Fitness, Barre Concept,  Zumba, Yoga, Bootcamp, Core Toning, Spin, Kickboxing and Muscle Functional Training. Sophia's dynamic spirit and passion for fitness are motivating forces that encourages others to strive for their personal best. With over 15 years of professional experience, Sophia is a well-respected individual in the fitness community!
Maria
BODY PILATES, BARRE CONCEPT, REFORMER 

Maria has been practicing Pilates since the age of 18, she moved to Boston and continued to practice as a hobby with well-known instructors at Boston Body Pilates, at which point she realized Pilates was something she wanted to pursue. Coming to Canada and finding BodyBarre Studio as well as meeting Tina, provided her with the opportunity to learn and get certified in what she is most passionate about. Maria Shares her passion through her Pilates classes, aiming for all those who attend to feel they can achieve to complete every single exercise , whether it be through modifications or advanced exercises. Holding a 200 hr certificate in Yoga, Pilates and Barre concept, Maria hopes to continue pursuing her passion and learning more in order to better herself as an instructor.

VOULA
Voula's expertise in fitness and health helps clients to utilize exercise and food to battle depression, lose weight and improve confidence and mental health. She educates and empowers women on how to take personal ownership of their health and ultimately their happiness.
 
Voula's passion is infectious, and she is determined to motivate women of all stages in life to find their way back to themselves.
CARLA
BARRE CONCEPT, YOGA FUSION, REFORMER
From her first ballet slippers at the age of 3, Carla fell in love with dance and music. She studied both classical ballet and jazz until 20 years of age and also taught ballet to young toddlers. In her early adulthood , she challenges herself with fitness classes, yoga and running. She came to realize that a woman body and shape changes with age. Maintaining a healthy , active lifestyle was vital. But she found herself bored. Imagine her excitement when one day she came across a new fitness regime that incorporated her love of ballet with fitness - the Barre Concept. At Body Barre, Carla's passion for music and dance re-ignited in a Piyo class with Tina. Tina;s classes incorporated the fundamental movements of ballet, the flexibility of yoga , the strength of pilates and the challenge of athleticism. She fed from the energy and passion from the ladies in the studio that left her wanting more. Physically she found her body slowing evolving towards the long lithe form of a graceful dancer with the subtle strength of an athlete. Under Tina's tutelage and vision, Carla completed the Body Barre Fitness Teacher Training and is teaching Barre classes at the studio. She hopes to bring inspiration to all her students. Train like a beast and look like a beauty!
SONIA
Sonia’s love of dance started at a young age enrolled in Jazz, Tap and Ballet at Performing Dance Arts School of Dance.  Her love of dance turned into a passion for all forms of activity & fitness.  Sonia felt empowered by the development of both mental & physical strength that came from training. As she phased out of her passion for dance in her early twenties, she maintained a very active lifestyle with more traditional forms of fitness, such as running, ashtanga yoga & personal training. Always setting goals for herself, she decided to run her 1st half marathon at 30 and loved the thrill of hitting that finish line! This led her to pursue running more seriously and ran another 4 half marathons until the age of 35, when she decided it was time for the next big goal.  At 35, she registered for the New York City Full Marathon on a charity status, with a goal of raising $14,000. After months of dedicated training, she completed the NYC Marathon in Nov 2011 full of pride; her biggest physical accomplishment, and an experience she would never forget.  Practicing ashtanga yoga offered her a great balance to running. But she realized she was starved for something unlike the traditional forms of fitness. That's when she discovered Barre classes at Body Barre Fitness through a friend.  Sonia fell in love with Barre as it offered her a fusion of all the things she loved about physical activity & movement.  Sonia had found her new passion in Barre. She completed the Barre Concept Training program in December of 2015.  She has since started instructing classes in Aug 2016.  In the hopes of one day capitalizing on her knowledge of various forms of fitness, Sonia decided to advance her training further by enrolling in a 9-month certification in Yoga, Pilates & Personal training which started in September of 2016.  
 
Sonia hopes to one day transition into the fitness world full-time in the hopes of helping others achieve their fitness goals.

For the past 15 years, Bianca has really embraces living a balanced lifestyle that encompasses regular workout sessions and nutritious food choices after years of disordered eating and poor health. These changes to her health have allowed Bianca to feel stronger, both physically and mentally. Bianca began training with Tina 4 years ago after having her first child. She instantly fell in love with the group training classes and had a strong desire to become an instructor. With her passion for health and fitness, coupled with her teaching background, Bianca completed the Body Barre Fitness Teacher Training and Personal Development Program in 2017 and began instructing classes at Body Barre shortly after.
Bianca is dedicated to empowering individuals of all ages and physical abilities by challenging them and encouraging them to achieve their health goals.

Marlene Theslof is an Elite Barre / HIIT  Fitness Instructor. Along with being a competitive dance instructor /Choreography in break dance, hip hop and jazz . Marlene receive her degree  in dance from Cal State Long Beach and has been dancing professionally  and instructing classes since 1999. Her classes are as fun and fresh as she is. Always upbeat and vibrant. Along with specializing in Dance she also holds her group fitness certification through CATZ Physical Therapy & Sports Performance Institute and Gluco Fit.. She pioneered  dance and fitness classes for kids with special needs through out the states.

In My 60′s, overweight, tired. Tried all the gimmicks, diets from juicing, shakes, vibration machines, gyms etc.. you name it I’ve tried it. Thought this was just how the 60′s should feel. Until I met Tina.  Never have I had such great results on weight loss & body transformation. If you are ready to try something new, this gets results!! Tina has made me believe in myself, made me take action, learn from my mistakes with her support nutritionally and coaching.  I had my Aha moment after a family function back in June 2013. After seeing a photo of myself and how much my stomach exploded after the meal. I decided that was it!! I met Tina and we started training 3x a week , along with changing my eating habits. My goal was to lose 15 lbs. I needed the one on one for accountability. It was hard but definitely paid off. Tina was very supportive and attentive to my needs. She always kept it interesting and motivating. Watching the weight come off slowly and noticing the huge difference in how I felt made me want more. I added her Barre Classes along with the one on one training. I’ve lost 35 lbs along with inches, cleared up my adult acne that I had for 25 years. I feel stronger, more toned and fit than when I was in 20′s!! Keep in mind I’ve made little if any attempt at fitness before Tina with no success. I’ve learned when you find what works for you and you enjoy it…keep doing it!

I’ve been attending Tina’s Bootcamp since last May 2012….and I am thankful to my Friend who told me all about her class….I say class because Tina not only gives us a kick butt workout but she also teaches nutrition and simplify easy to make meals plans. I started Mommy Bootcamp with Tina 8 weeks after the birth of my daughter. Within 6 months I was not only back to my pre-pregnancy weight, I WAS 15 POUNDS SKINNIER!!! I have always been active and athletic, but her bootcamp transformed my body to a shape that I had never achieved before! I am a happier, healthier and quite frankly addicted to her workouts!! 2 years later I am still a regular to her bootcamps and can’t imagine life without them!!

My workouts at Body Barre make me happy! About a year ago I was very disappointed when I tried on some clothes in a store change room and that’s when I decided to give Body Barre a try. I never imagined how mach strong, firmer and generally happier I’d be in just a few months of going regularly . Tina possesses a rare combination of experience, commitment and positivity that create the ideal environment for women. Body Barre has something for everyone and challenges you in such a way that will change you. I was a big doubter- there was no way with my full schedule and young children that I could devote time to exercise I thought. However it turned out that this was one of the few things in my life that was adding quality to my life and actually making me better at everything.
