With very heavy hearts, we have made the toughest decision since we first opened Body Barre, to temporarily halt classes and training at the studio. The studio should be your safe space, and with the COVID19 pandemic, we don’t feel that our open doors is how we should proceed in the coming weeks. We want to empower you with your workouts, and we will do that. 

Effective Sunday, March 15, 2020, we temporarily suspended in-studio group classes, private training and teacher training. Memberships and passes are on hold. We will reopen when it’s safe publicly to do so. We are trying to make the best decision for everyone, from you, our clients, our staff to our families. When we reopen, we will honour all packages passes and extend expiry dates.

Many clients have expressed that they don’t want to leave the Body Barre routine or take a break from it. And with that in mind, we are posting daily workouts on social media to keep you on track, and are offering LIVE classes for paid members. (Go to your Studio Bookings App to register for the Stay Home Stay Strong 30-Day Challenge.) There is still – and always be – this amazing Body Barre community. Please stay in touch. Keep exercising. It’s good for the body, immune system, mental wellness, and more. 

Also, as soon as we heard of a case of COVID19 from a member, we contacted each person in the class. And when another person tested positive, we emailed all clients. We also contacted York Region Public Health and worked with them tirelessly to keep our community safe and in the know. Our involvement in the investigation is intentional and participatory. Body Barre cares about clients' and staff health first and foremost, and everything we have done is with that in mind. 

This virus is highly communicable. Please stay home. Please practice self-isolation and social distancing. The Body Barre team has been since March 15 – and we're continuing to do our part to plank the curve.
